Harvest Festival

Harvest Assemblies Tuesday 10th October 2017

On Tuesday last week, we celebrated harvest time with our two harvest assemblies. We were joined by Paul Joel from the Baptist Church and Julie Anderson from St Mary and All Saints. The children impressed the audiences with their repertoire of songs, autumnal artwork, poetry recitals and dance routines. It was a thoroughly suitable celebration of harvest time.

Thank you to everyone who donated generously to the collection for the Ely Foodbank. We gathered a huge amount of produce that was on display during the harvest assemblies. The food has been collected and it will now be distributed from Cottenham, to families in need. This is a much needed local service that we are very pleased to be able to support.

We have received a lovely email thanking us for our kind donations:

Dear Willingham Primary School,

Please accept our sincere thanks for the pupil donations at your recent Harvest Festival.

We collected 201kg in total, which is a fantastic contribution to our stock. It has all been weighed and sorted and will be used in our food parcels that we distribute to families in need in the local area.

Please pass on our thanks to your pupils and their parents for their generous efforts.

Kind Regards,

Farida Shirley
