Year 3 & 4: Cupcakes
This week, the Year 3s and 4s were looking at the work of Wayne Thiebaud and creating cupcake Art of their own. The first set of pictures are of Miss Hartman-Ayers' class.
I always encourage the children to practise their drawing first using scrap paper or a whiteboard:

The children transferred their ideas to paper and used oil pastels to colour. We had talked about how to blend colours and to produce a good finish:
