On Wednesday 1st December, a group of nine pupils from years 5 and 6 attended a cross-country event at Wimpole Hall with Mrs Pipe and Coach Marsh from running club. Over 1,000 children represented schools from across Cambridgeshire.  The nine children have all been regularly attending Triathlon or running club in school. 
All the runners from Willingham Primary school showed fantastic enthusiasm, determination and sportsmanship throughout the morning and Mrs Pipe was very proud of every one of them, particularly for their encouragement of children from other schools as well as their support of each other. 
A special 'Spirit of the games' award went to one of our Year 6 girls who showed great determination to overcome her nerves on the day.
