Year 1 & 2: Paul Klee continued.
In this second week of term, the children in Years 1 and 2 looked at Fire in the Evening (1929) by Paul Klee.
Our own artwork inspired by this painting was created using strips of tissue paper on a clear plastic folder which we will later remove. We experimented with layering the colours to produce darker areas and greater stability to the finished piece.
Applying the glue evenly and keeping the tissue paper straight required considerable care and dexterity. These Year 1 pupils worked with great focus:
