Emergency Call in Reception!

This week in Reception, we have started a new topic learning all about emergency services. On Wednesday, we were so lucky to have two paramedics visit our school. Paramedic Tom and Paramedic Tilly brought an ambulance onto the playground and talked to us about their really important job. We all got to have a look inside the ambulance and we were shown some of the equipment in there. Tom and Tilly demonstrated how to put on an oxygen mask, how to use a stethoscope and we even got to measure Tom’s blood pressure. When the paramedics started the ambulance engine and put the sirens on, we all had to cover our ears! It was an amazing visit, which has inspired us to produce some brilliant ambulance pictures in class.
