Welcome To

Willingham Primary School

Year Five

We have two Year Five classes.  The teachers are:

Mrs Sutton –
I am now coming to the end of my first year at Willingham Primary School and I have really enjoyed getting to know the staff and children here. Having spent the last two years teaching Year 2 children, I am now looking forward to a change and returning to Key Stage 2, as it is where I have spent most of my eighteen years of teaching. I'm originally from Kent and I spent six years studying and teaching in York and Harrogate, before settling in Cambridgeshire. In my spare time, I enjoy singing and tap dancing (although not at the same time), spending time with my family and chasing after my two boys. This year, I have enjoyed teaching the topic-based curriculum at Willingham and starting up the Key Stage 1 choir - I was so proud of how well they sang at the Musical Celebration! I am really looking forward to meeting all of the Year 5 families and getting to know your children better over the next year.

Mrs Musselle –
I am really looking forward to teaching Year 5 again, having taught Year 6 for the last three years. The new school year will be my third at Willingham Primary, although since December I have been on maternity leave with my baby daughter. I also have a dog called Penny who has been enjoying lots of long walks with the baby too. One of my favourite things about being a teacher is when the whole class reads a story where we can't wait to read the next chapter together. I'm looking forward to coming back to doing that in September and finding out which books our class have enjoyed over the summer holiday.

Ms de Jong –
I joined Willingham in January 2017 covering Mrs Hazlehurst's maternity leave, and enjoyed being part of the Willingham community so much, I wanted to stay! I've lived in the UK for 2 ½ years now and I am originally from Canada, but have lived and travelled around the world for the last 10 years. I love being outdoors in nature, wildlife, adventure, eating healthy and all things 'green'. My favourite foods are spicy curries, pizza, strawberries and popcorn. Sports have always been a big part of my life, especially ice hockey and water sports. I’m looking forward to teaching Year 5 next year with all the familiar smiley faces!
